Our 1950's Chevrolet Sedan Delivery, known to us as Shakey, joined the Steam Whistle family in the brewery's second year. Also known colloquially as a 'bun wagon', Shakey was once used to deliver fresh baked bread to households in the 50's. Our Co-founder, Greg Taylor, tracked this car down in an old fire hall south of Montreal. When asked why the name Shakey was bestowed upon this shining blue beauty Greg will tell you that she shook so much on his five hour highway journey home that he woke up with a sore back the next morning! After her restoration the shaking disappeared but the nickname stayed! If you spot Shakey around town it's likely that Steve Ellery, our Customer Service Supervisor, is behind the wheel.
