Major Maker

Gravity Wave is Ken Farrell's excuse to do what he wants. First he made an electro-pop dance record with a Playstation video game. That stone killed a few birds simultaneously. Suddenly, there was no more carrying amplifiers to shows or concern for playing an instrument, even though Farrell is a multi-instrumentalist. Gravity Wave live shows became more about Ken and the audience, and soon the audience became part of the show. A twelve-year old tambourine player named Tom became the right hand man on stage, hustling his way into the hearts of confused and delighted partiers with every performance.

Founded in November 2006, Gravity Wave shows have exploded in popularity by establishing a reputation for never delivering the same show twice. Incorporating elements of fashions shows, videos, guest performers, dancers, actors and false idols, one can never be sure what to expect.

Grand Analog

The story behind the Montreal-based electropop duo begins with a pair of highschool sweethearts and spans a decade of couplehood, musical projects and everything in between. With the release of their debut full-length Goodbye Friend, Welcome Lover (2005) on Noise Factory Records, Edmund and Heidi have crafted their best, most focused work to date in the form of infectious pop compositions driven by the interplay of charming, glitchy electronics with engaging, sharp melodies. Their dynamic and energetic live show has earned them invitations to CMJ, Pop Montreal, Canadian Music Week, North By North East, Ladyfest, Halifax Pop Explosion and the CBC radio 3 national tour, sharing stages with established artists like Mates of State, Sloan, Ivy, Most Serene Republic, as well as newcomers Tokyo Police Club, Pony Up! and Au Revoir Simone. Hexes & Ohs' debut album has been topping the campus radio charts, reaching the 2 position nationally and remaining in the top 10 for several months. The album's single "Whadaya Know?" also made CBC radio 3's list of top 50 singles of 2005.
